Dyngus Day, a Polish/Ukranian tradition, is celebrated the Monday after Easter and is an old Eastern European rite of Spring and a celebration of the end of Lent . Celebrations include dancing, dousing loved ones with water and chasing them with pussy willows.
Dyngus Day is celebrated stateside in Buffalo, NY (www.dyngusday.com), Cleveland and other locales and has been celebrated in Washington, DC at the Biergartenhaus on H St NE (www.biergartenhaus.com) since 2017!
Pierogi/kielbasa platters will be served
Beer, Beer, Beer
Live music is not yet allowed but there will be plenty of Polka streaming through the BGH sound system
Masks must be worn if you are not at your table
Social distancing will be in effect
We will strictly adhere to all DC mandatory COVID protocols
And the Life Sized Butter Lamb will be in attendance!
