Dyngus Day is celebrated the Monday after Easter. It is a Polish rite of Spring and a celebration of the end of Lent. Festivities include dancing to polka, eating pierogi and kielbasa, dousing loved ones with water and chasing them with pussy willows.
Dyngus Day is celebrated stateside in Buffalo, NY (www.dyngusday.com), Cleveland and other locales and has been observed in Washington, DC at the Biergarten Haus and Union Pub since 2017. We will now be celebrating at Atlas Brew Works new flagship brewery located at
600 Howard Road SE
