Dyngus Day, a Polish/Ukrainian tradition, is celebrated the Monday after Easter and is an old Eastern European rite of Spring and a celebration of the end of Lent. Celebrations include dancing, dousing loved ones with water and chasing them with pussy willows.
Dyngus Day is celebrated stateside in Buffalo, NY (www.dyngusday.com), Cleveland and other locales and has been celebrated in Washington, DC at the Biergarten Haus on H St NE since 2017!
Unfortunately, with the closure of Biergarten Haus, we need to find a new location for DDDC. Negotiations are in the works. Please follow us on Dyngus Day DC on Instagram for updates!
